Celtic Connections 2024
Hailed as the best Irish folk group of its generation, Lankum was named Best Folk Group at the RTÉ Folk Music Awards, with vocalist Radie Peat winning the Best Folk Singer title.
The band released its latest album, False Lankum, in 2023 to great critical acclaim. It sees Lankum’s monumental modern folk evolve to a new level. Transcending its traditional folk roots, it incorporates powerful experimental overtones, beautiful close vocal harmonies, classic song-writing, and timeless narratives.
Live shows by Lankum’s Radie Peat, brothers Ian and Daragh Lynch, and Cormac MacDiarmada are described as ‘a deeply moving collective experience’, and they return to Glasgow to play the legendary Barrowlands following a recent sell-out tour.
