Sing Canntaireachd with Kaitlin Ross
In this interactive workshop, participants will gain an understanding of Gaelic song, particularly Canntaireachd and how it was used as a method of recording, preserving and teaching Piobaireachd. You will explore the rhythms and phrasing of the pipe tunes and Gaelic songs and how they intertwine.
You will learn Canntaireachd, strathspeys and reels from the joint Gaelic song and piping traditions.
