Tim O'Brien & Friends: The Crossing and Campbell/Jensen

TV appearances by legendary Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awardee Doc Watson were the inspiration for acclaimed singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim O’Brien’s lifelong love of bluegrass and old-time music. Now a Grammy winner himself, the West Virginia-born musician penned bluegrass hits for Colorado band Hot Rize, and following country hits written for Kathy Mattea, artists including Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks covered his songs. Creative collaborations over the years have featured O’Brien’s sister Mollie, songwriter Darrell Scott, and renowned names such as Steve Earle, Mark Knopfler, Dan Auerbach, and Sturgill Simpson.

Joining O’Brien to revisit songs from The Crossing – his classic album connecting American Appalachian and traditional Irish music – are formidable music comrades including Dirk Powell, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle.

Ashley Campbell and Thor Jensen form a unique meeting of musical genres as the duo Campbell/Jensen. With Ashley coming from the world of country and Americana and Thor having a diverse background from rock to gypsy jazz, they create a fresh sound as a duo. Ashley began her career playing in her father, Glen Campbell's band on several world tours, she has also been spotlighted for her banjo playing with Rascall Flatts.Thor Jensen, a virtuoso guitarist and songwriter, has performed at Carnegie Hall and across the world, all the while immersing himself in New York's jazz scene.

Ashley and Thor met in late 2021 and have been playing music together ever since. Both being strong instrumentalists in addition to the combination of Thor's deep baritone and Ashley's clear as a bell vocals, together they make a one of a kind blend.
