Three time winners of Scotland’s “Live Act of the Year” award, Skerryvore return to Celtic Connections energised by the release of their 7th studio album, Tempus. With a heady mix of bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and whistles, not to mention soaring guitar, crisp vocals, and driving bass, drums, and keys, the band represent the best in contemporary Scottish traditional music. From their early days in Scottish West Coast halls and bars, to festival crowds in the USA, Canada, Australia and throughout the UK and Europe, Skerryvore’s wide range of influences and talent produce a musically expansive, immersive yet intimate set that excites and captivates audiences.
Scottish pop duo The Eves are Marissa Keltie and Caroline Gilmour, one of the UK’s most promising emerging pop acts in recent years with their stand-out brand of uplifting, melodic pop. Recent single releases ‘Big Love’ and ‘Brand New Day’ commanded attention from mainstream national radio stations, with both tracks making appearances on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Scotland. Notable past performances include opening for pop icon Belinda Carlisle at a sold-out Kelvingrove Bandstand, a live session on BBC Scotland’s ‘The Quay Sessions’, TRNSMT Festival, Tiree Festival, Country to Country at the OVO Hydro, opening for The Shires, Wet Wet Wet, Tony Hadley, Skerryvore and Horse.
