Celtic Connections proudly presents Alistair McCulloch Trio and Beatha

Featuring three of Scotland’s most established traditional musicians, the Alistair McCulloch Trio annual Scottish tour has been a regular fixture on the traditional music calendar for two decades. Featuring renowned fiddler and composer McCulloch, alongside the inimitable Aaron Jones on cittern, guitar and vocals and former Capercaillie whistle wizard Marc Duff, the trio has gained a formidable reputation for its concert performances which blends traditional, contemporary and self-penned tunes and songs.

Individually Alistair, Aaron and Marc have appeared on dozens of albums over the years and have toured all over the world, collaborating with many of Scotland’s best known folk musicians. From driving reels and jigs to tender airs and expressive songs the trio is delighted to be bringing its music back to Celtic Connections.

Following on from a successful debut year which saw Glasgow based trio Beatha win a Danny Kyle Award, reach the final of the Molloy Award, and play festivals such as Piping Live! and Braemar Folk Festival, they return to Celtic Connections to launch their highly anticipated debut E.P.
