A musical adventure from Scotland to Pakistan.

Scottish/South Asian influenced music, storytelling, and striking visual images combine to recount the adventures of Anne Wood as she sets forth on an unforgettable voyage from the Scottish Highlands to the Himalayas. Inspired by Anne’s true story, this tender, surprising and heart-opening show, summons majestic mountains, mesmerising sounds and mouth-watering tastes.

Anne says “My mother is Scottish. My father was Pakistani. In my early twenties I found the father I had never met … but I was taboo in a culture to which I longed to belong.”

Composed and musically directed by Scottish violinist Anne Wood (The Raincoats, Kathryn Tickell, Savourna Stevenson, Feis Rois, Deacon Blue, Michael Marra) and co-directed by Kath Burlinson (Mairi Campbell: Pulse and Auld Lang Syne) and Niloo-Far Khan (Play, Pie, Pint; Grid Iron/EIF; NTS) with an international cast of storytellers and musicians: Ankna Arockiam (Naad-Hara, Saanjh), Afnan Iftikhar (Future Humans), Mary Macmaster (Sileas, The Poozies, Shine, Songs of Separation), Freny Nina PavriRick Wilson and featuring sitarist Rakae Jamil (Mughal-e-Funk).
