Living soul legend Lee Fields presents his latest album It Rains Love.
The North Carolina musician cut his teeth as a teenager on the stages of juke bars in the 1960s. He was a close collaborator and friend to Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, and his music has been sampled by hip hop artists as diverse as J. Cole and Travis Scott. Now, in his sixties, he’s at the helm of the soul revival.
Fields’ latest album, created with his long-time band The Expressions, is his seventh. Across the record the soul singer instils the tracks with heartfelt emotion, carrying the legacy of soul with earnest expression that extends a warm embrace to anyone who listens.
