A musician’s musician of nearly five decades’ standing, Welsh-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Geraint Watkins has recorded and performed with numerous major stars including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Bill Wyman, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler and Status Quo, while his songs have been covered by the likes of Don McLean, Dave Edmunds and Pokey LaFarge. The latest of his occasional solo releases, 2019’s Rush of Blood – produced by Simon Ratcliffe of Basement Jaxx - highlights his omnivorous musical appetites, ranging in style from rockabilly to jazz, spaghetti Western to classic R&B. For this rare headline appearance, he’s joined by a band of similarly seasoned hotshot players.
