Born in Syria to Armenian parents, Bedouine – singer and songwriter Azniv Korkejian – moved to the US aged ten, when her family won the green card lottery. After living in Boston, Kentucky and Texas, she’s currently based in LA, echoes of whose classic Laurel Canyon sound potently pervade her music. Bedouine’s self-titled debut was an out-of-nowhere critical smash in 2017, with feature coverage from NPR to Vogue, and the acclaim continued for 2019’s follow-up Bird Songs of a Killjoy, another captivating collection of dreamy chamber-folk meditations on wanderlust, displacement, turmoil and tranquillity.

“Seventies singer-songwriter traditionalism reimagined as global pop. . . one of today’s most vital new folk voices” (Rolling Stone)
